The present study was undertaken to find out the dermicolons of the library emment which are responsible to decay books and manuscript. A total of 10 hook deteriorating fungi were slated, of which Aspergillus niger Aspergillus lacus, Penicilliam brefeldianum and Penicillium mulicum showed their pedes of cellulose degradation which is the major component of paper material. Aspergilla ochuceus showed cellule degrading activity, while Penicilliam exalum exhibited maximum degradation of cellulose among other.
