Recycled Textile

Abstract

The textile recycling industry is one of the oldest and most established industries in the world and it ofers economical benefit. The most common approach to tackle waste arising from the textile lifecycle is to implement proper waste management strategies. Every inspiring human being is making the world of fashion in their own way. Fashion does not just concern with what one is wearing, Garments are often made from recycled and reusable textile substrates. High-quality garment and accessories can be made from recycled and waste materials. Recycled materials offers a low-impact alternativeto other fibre sources with reduced energy consumption, reduced resource consumption and reduced chemical consumption if the fibre/fabric is not over dyed. Fabric waste has a wide range of colour, texture, shape and properties that cannot be used as a primary product. But these waste materials can easily be converted into a new product line which would have more value. The work is aimed at producing low cost garments from recycled textiles through an innovative approach which can be linked to the inspired idea of product diversity.
