| Abstract: | Even though the contribution of groundwater to agricultural growth in West Bengal has been undisputed, yet literature on groundwater irrigation and groundwater market in the State is scarce. This is all the more glaring because in the past decade groundwater markets have become very important in the region.This paper attempts to fill the void by analyzing the emergence and use of groundwater from an economic perspective. |
