Indoor aeromycoflora of the Central Library Visva-Bharati University at Sonnmiketan was by using both Burkard perumal volumetric air sampler und Andersen neo suge sampler from August 2016 March, 2017 A al of 16 fungal pore ripes were identified from Burkard sampling and fungal colonies of 25 species were recorded from exposed petridishes connaming PDA medium ong Andersen sampler holated fungi were identified on the ban of their character with the help of authenti literatures In Hurkard sampling maximum fungi were unded in Ceber 116000 spore) and minum in January (4200 spores m's b Andersen periplate method maximumfungal colonies were found in October 1830 CFUm's and minimum in August 1423 CFU mk deterioration in andesirable change in the properties of a material caused by the vital activities of the deteriorating organismes. The present study was undertaken to find out the dermicolons of the library emment which are responsible to decay books and manuscript. A total of 10 hook deteriorating fungi were slated, of which Aspergillus niger Aspergillus lacus, Penicilliam brefeldianum and Penicillium mulicum showed their pedes of cellulose degradation which is the major component of paper material. Aspergilla ochuceus showed cellule degrading activity, while Penicilliam exalum exhibited maximum degradation of cellulose among other. |
